We'd been struggling to find a wedding ring to fit my unusual shaped engagement ring (and dare I say it, I am a bit fussy!), and I really wanted to use my Great-Grandmother's wedding ring for sentimental value. After reading the reviews on here I contacted Gav, and he couldn't have been more approachable or helpful!His knowledge and experience was obvious from the minute we met; he really put me at my ease and we discussed a range of options (he has lots of beautiful examples of his work to look at) .
I picked the finished piece up today and am soooooo pleased - I really love it and my family will be so proud to see the heirloom ring being worn (in a style more keeping with the times!), I can't rate Gavin Mack highly enough.

We contacted Gavin after being recommended by a friend. we were struggling to find a wedding band due to my engagement ring being bespoke and an unusual shape. I was looking for a bespoke jeweller in Birmingham as wanted the diamond from an old engagement ring making into a pendant. After a few e mails and 1 appointment with Gavin on the Monday, I had explained how I wanted the pendant to look. I rang him on the following Wednesday to be told my pendant was ready..... I collected it the next day and Gavin had even got some chains for me to look at. Like previous reviews - nothing is too much trouble and his skill in jewellery design / making is awesome. I'm very pleased with my pendant and now can wear and show it off with pride, instead of an old ring sat in my jewellery box never seeing the light of day. Thank you Gavin for making it so quickly with such expertise and to exactly how I wanted. Earrings are definitely next so will be coming to see you about those in near future!! If anyone is thinking of having any bespoke jewellery made, then Gavin is man!!! If you're reading this thinking about using Gavin, then do it now! Gavin has made my engagement ring and our wedding rings too. He's fantastic - I couldn't recommend him highly enough! What an absolute diamond! Nothing is ever any trouble for Gavin, I asked him to re-shape 2 rings, put 2 garnet stones back in a ring and make my engagement ring smaller. I dropped these off on Saturday and had them back and finished by Monday night and they were so so shiny! I've never seen them look as shiny before. We wanted to recognise our 25th Anniversary with a ring for Mandy and cufflinks for me, but with a twist... Gavin came up with the idea of setting into them gemstones signifying the birthdates of us, our three daughters, and two grandsons. BRILLIANT!! I happened to come across Gavin's website while helping my son search for an engagement ring for his girlfriend. Even though we are in London and did everything via email etc. Gavin was amazing and produced the most fantastic ring. My son picked one from his website and Gavin totally reworked it for us and I really do not think I have ever seen such a clean diamond ever!!!! Totally stunning put into rose gold and of course my son fell in love with the fitted wedding ring combo so Gavin did that for us as well. After searching in so many shops in London we found Gavin online, went to meet him. He sourced by far the best diamond we had seen for our ring - and we had seen a fair few! I wanted an antique looking ring and gave Gavin a design which I had drawn. He produced a ring which was so much more amazing than we could have hoped for! I absolutely love it, there isn't a thing about it that I would change, and it is exactly what I described to Gavin. The quality of the tiny and detailed work around the band that I wanted is stunning. Gavin is great at giving advice about the design of your ring and I would say to trust that he is extremely highly skilled. I couldn't recommend him highly enough. The process was so easy and simple. I posted my ring to Gavin and he drew up some designs and offered some ideas. Once I had chosen the design Gavin made a wax model and sent me pictures throughout the process. When he came to the finish product I loved the ring, but was not sure about the colour of one of the stones - Gavin was more than happy to change this for me and the ring was sent back to me the next day.
