Absolutely fantastic - worked with Gavin to create a bespoke Engagement Ring from my own Design, and couldn't be more pleased with the result. Gavin is a really friendly guy and took me through the whole process, including explaining and showing various diamonds, metals and ring types until we got the perfect one.She said yes to me, so should be testament enough to Gavin's fine handy work.

Unfortunately I had my engagement ring stolen in a burglary. It had been purchased in the '70s, from a small independent designer, so it wasn't possible to find anything similar. I found Gavin from internet research and I'm so glad I did. I asked him to re-create it from a photo (small and not very clear). Gavin did an amazing job at a very fair price. Most of the communication had to take place at distance but he consulted thoroughly at every stage, sourced a top quality moonstone and modified the design in discussion with me until it was just as I wanted. Gavin pays great attention to detail and always gets back to you, so it's no problem not being local to his workshop. I would definitely recommend Gavin to anyone wanting a personal design and will definitely choose to ask him for any other items of jewellery I may want replaced in the future. Gavin created an amazing engagement ring for me. Worked closely with me on the design and selection of the stones, all of this while I’m working away from my family. Gavin has been patient and helped me through the design process and when the ring was to big (what I get for trying to guess the size from 4000 miles away) was able to re-engineer the ring to the correct size within a few days. If you want something bespoke, excellent quality and a helpful and friendly service then Gavin should be your first choice.

We were looking for a jeweller to make good my wife's solitaire diamond ring and to do something with her floral patterned wedding ring, which after 48 years was badly worn and too tight. We visited the local Jewellery shops but found them to be disinterested, offering poor advice and quoting disproportionate costs. None of them gave us confidence that we could trust them to respect us or our property, or would have any appreciation of the strong sentimental value which we attach to our rings. Then we met Gavin!
He is so easy to work with and we would trust him with anything. He is an exceptional craftsman and instinctively knows what works but he is also a very good listener and uses his skill and experience to understand what it is that you are trying to achieve before showing you how he can achieve it for you. He does not apply any pressure and is happy to work with whatever budget is available to you. He will then keep you involved throughout the process until he presents you with the finished article. It is measure of his commitment that when he presents the finished article he is as excited as you are!
If you are looking for a really good jeweller who can turn your ideas and desires into reality at a very reasonable price and make the whole experience a pleasure then look no further!!!

Gavin is amazing - he made my wedding ring and I also recently had him remodel my engagement ring (that I had bought from another jeweller). The quality and craftsmanship of his rings is incredible. In my opinion, there are very few other jewellers in the jewellery quarter who make rings as well as he does (and I have been in almost every store). He's also a dream to work with, so down-to-earth, easy to talk to and no 'sales-speak'. I'm fairly well-educated when it comes to diamonds and I found all the information he gave me to be completely true and accurate whereas elsewhere I was usually greeted by sales associates who were either clueless or not particularly forthcoming when it came to certain pieces of important information. If you are looking for a bespoke piece of jewellery then I 100% recommend meeting with Gavin.
